“Adrenalin City” was composed by David Rudder and appeared on the 1999 CD release “International Chantuelle”. The lyrics refer to the electric feeling that permeates the entire island of Trinidad at Carnival time. From cab drivers to the executive of the bank, the excitement of Carnival is everywhere and in everyone, making the island seem like it has adrenalin running through the streets. I urge you to find the original vocal version of this piece and you will hear how the upper pan parts represent the lead vocal, background vocal, or horn parts. The middle voiced pans cover the keyboard and guitar parts. And of course the lower pans cover the electric bass “Adrenalin City” was arranged for the Vanderbilt Steel Band (Beginning Band) in the Spring of 2006.Difficulty: Medium (great for high school and college steel bands)Instrumentation: tenor/double tenor/double seconds/guitar/cello/tenor bass/bass/drum set/engine room
