“Unknown Pan” is a tenor pan and percussion duet, but may also be performed as a tenor solo without the accompaniment. The tenor part consists of pleasing rhythmic elements, as well as technically proficient segments. The optional percussion accompaniment calls for congas and shaker, as well as the performer’s choice to ad lib. the given part, and choose to add different metal, wood, and other shaker sounds throughout.
