This book contains 40 solos that range from Beginner to Intermediate levels. There are 10 solos for each of the following steel band voices: Tenor, Double Second, Triple Guitar/Cello, and Six Bass. Each instrument has 5 unaccompanied solos and 5 solos that include a backing track. Each solo that has a backing track includes a QR code at the top. This will link to a playlist that includes the track on Youtube for quick access when you don't have the tracks downloaded nearby. The 10 solos for each voice can be purchased as a book or compiled together here. The styles represented include jazz, soca, rock, trap, prog, 8bit, cinematic, classical and more.

Note from Jordan: This book is great for anyone who is learning the steel drum, taking lessons, wants some different material, or craves a new challenge on their instrument(s). I have been using some of the solos in this book with my students to meet the needs of those who want an additional challenge outside of our full band material. The QR code on each solo with track makes it easy for students to access the track even when I'm not around. Recently, I have been using this as a way to brush up on my full band chops to get ready for a new school year. I think this will become a great tool for any steel band director. Use it to feature student soloists on a concert, beef up your concerts with some more diverse genres represented, use it in lessons, or however else you decide.
