"Guantanamera" is a traditional Cuban patriotic song. This pan arrangement by Michael Huestis is very achievable by most ensembles and includes an open tenor pan solo which can be improvised by more advanced performers, but also includes a written-out solo for performers not comfortable with improvisation. The arrangement calls for a drumset with a traditional Cuban salsa percussion section including timbales, congas and maracas. The bass part can be performed by both bass pans or a bass guitar.
