After teaching the Argonne Rebels Drum and Bugle Corps for a year, he moved to Phoenix to work in the Paradise Valley School District. While in Phoenix, he discovered the pan and began working around town as a steel drum musician. After moving back to Kansas in 1989, Brad began an 11 year term as Band instructor at Nickerson High School and also started the family band , “Tropical Shores Steel Drum Band” as well as the first high school steel drum band in Kansas. He also started the first WGI drum line in Kansas called “Rebel Drums” from 1997-2000.He currently is head band instructor at Haven High School and teaches steel drum band, guitar, band, jazz band and marching band.
