Bruce Weil was the founder of the Over-The Rhine Steel Band, a program for inner city students, and the Clark Montessori Steel Band, both located in Cincinnati, Ohio. During his work over the past 24 years, he has been honored to have worked with the amazing children in these two ensembles.  Bruce's groups have recorded a total of 7 CDs of calypso, pop, classical and spiritual music, and performed at over 100 schools and conferences in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, South Carolina, Florida, Louisiana and New York.

He has published well over 20 original charts, including two recorded and produced by bass player and funk legend Bootsy Collins, and one performed live on PRI's national radio show From The Top.

His current work is focused on the Peace and Inclusion Through Music program via which his bands do collaborations with choirs and bands of students with special challenges.  Most recently, this work took his group to New York City where he performed with Taylor McFerrin at the Lavelle School for the Blind and hosted the NYC cast of STOMP at the New York Institute for Special Education.
