The abanico is used to start B’s Groove. The timbale player or drum set player hits a rim shot on count 3, rolls on count 4, and then hits another rim shot on count 1. B’s Groove starts off as a cha cha but later changes to a mambo. There is an opportunity during the mambo section for a timbale solo. Following the timbale solo, the tune returns back to a cha cha. The written out fill rhythms leading in and out of the mambo section can be played as written, or used just as guidelines. B’s Groove is a relatively challenging piece allowing a steel band to showcase itself in a Latin style, as well as allowing a percussionist in your band to take a timbale solo. Have Fun with this Chart!Difficulty: Medium/Hard (great for advanced high school and college steel bands)Instrumentation: tenor/double tenor/double seconds/guitars/bass/drum set/congas/timbales/percussion (guiro, claves, etc.)ITEM ID : SDJM-0005« Previous | Next »TweetProduct ReviewsNo Reviews For This Product.Click to review this product
