This piece is dedicated to my late husband, Dr. Clifford Alexis.  "Cliff's Playground" features motifs from Cliff's original compositions, "Pan 2000", "Confusion Reggae", and "Summer Song". In steel bands, Cliff would often be seen playing an iron (brake drum) in the engine room.  Throughout the piece, there are various rhythms that are commonly used by instruments such as iron, congas, and cowbells.  It is my hope to keep the legacy of Cliff alive through pieces such as this one.

Difficulty: Easy (great for junior high, high school & college steel bands)

Instrumentation: tenor/double seconds/cello/bass/drum set/percussion
