Arranged for Steel Band by Eugene Novotney

This arrangement is based on a version created by Clive Bradley and recorded by the legendary Desperadoes Steelband on their classic album, Desperadoes, released on the Charisma label in 1981. A lyrical Bossa Nova introduction is followed by driving Calypso variations that are set over repeating power chords in the low pans.  The variations leads into an open solo section set over the same power chords, making the arrangement very accessible for soloists of all levels of expertise. This is a bright and uplifting tune that is very fun to play, and that is always a crowd favorite.

Difficulty: Easy/Medium (great for junior high, high school and college steel bands)
