Arranged for Steel Band by Alan Bates

This reggae classic is arranged in more of a Ska style and it’s meant to be played a bit faster than the original rendition.  The bridge has an unusual chord progression, which is accented here by the arpeggios played by the double 2nds and guitar/cellos while the front line plays quiet rolls.  The 2nd time around, the bass and drums drop out during this part and it gets very pretty for a minute before everyone comes back in for the “big ending.”  This is a good one for filling the “old favorite” spot in a concert.

Difficulty: Medium/Hard (great for high school & college steel bands)
