We are proud to offer these recreations of early pans. These instruments will allow you to turn back the pages of history as you take your audience back to the sounds of pan in the 1950's!

The first pans were crude, limited in range and very wooden in tonal quality. We have recreated these forgotten tones in our Old Time Pan package. Early pans were actually played seated, but for carnival it was necessary for pans to be portable to fill the streets with music. The most popular way to carry a pan was with a strap around your neck - thus the term Pan 'Round De Neck.

All Old Time Pans come with a carry strap for playing the pan "Round de Neck".  Our package includes a Ping Pong (4ths & 5ths lead pan), a Grundig (chromatic single second), a Boom (bass pan), carrying straps, and a medley of 3 classic calypsoes that will take your audience down memory lane. You'll have a blast recreating the early days of pan for your audience time and time again on these authentic reproductions. Add rhythm accompaniment with percussion instruments like cowbells, shakers, brake drums, congas or even an empty rum bottle.
